Abby Seigel MSW, RSW
Abby is a Registered Social Worker who believes healing grows through connection, both to ourselves and with others. She creates a space where clients feel seen, accepted, and supported, helping them reconnect with themselves, nurture resilience, and foster authentic relationships. Her philosophy emphasizes looking at the whole person, not just their symptoms, to promote holistic wellness. Working within a trauma-informed, relational, and systemic framework, Abby draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities and carries her work with care, trust, and respect for each person’s story.

My practice is grounded in the belief that healing unfolds through connection—both within ourselves and in our relationships with others. I hold a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University.
I provide therapy in Toronto for youth, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, attachment and relationship challenges, family conflict, low self-worth, stress, life transitions, and perfectionism. My approach is relational, client-centered, and trauma-informed, with a focus on how early experiences, family dynamics, culture, and broader systems shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world.
I integrate a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities to offer holistic and individualized care, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic therapy. I work within a systemic and relational framework, balancing deeper reflection with practical tools to support meaningful, lasting change.
I view therapy as a collaborative and thoughtful process grounded in curiosity, respect, and compassion. I recognize that many of the patterns we develop to stay safe, manage emotions, or maintain connection begin as protective adaptations that may later feel limiting. In therapy, I support you in exploring these patterns with care, helping you build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
