Hello, I’m Michael. I am a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families. I am also the founder of Journeys Therapy Collective, a collaborative community of therapists committed to providing high-quality, accessible mental health care.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of individuals and families during times of need. My approach is grounded in building meaningful connections and understanding each person’s story on a deeper level. Together, we explore your experiences, challenges, and goals through a forward-focused lens of growth, healing, and alignment with your values.
I view therapy as a catalyst for change and a space where transformation can begin. I work collaboratively with you to identify your goals and move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive. My approach integrates Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), alongside techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based interventions.
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, self-esteem challenges, emotional regulation, and relationship concerns. I also have experience working with neurodivergence, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as supporting individuals exploring identity, including sexual and gender identity.
My goal is to support you in developing greater self-understanding, building effective coping strategies, and creating meaningful, lasting change in your life.
